Anna Beddoes to Davies Giddy, written on or shortly before 6 May 1808
My dear friend,
You desired to hear from me soon, I know not what stopped me from writing but that I could not tell what to say — your indulgence has already been great, I have felt much sorrow that I have made such large demands upon it — All is now passed, and I will no longer harrass you by dwelling upon the subject ——
I am very anxious to hear from you & to know how every thing is going on – but I am sure that as soon as you can, you will write without my reminding you of it — I hope my dear friend that you are pretty well and that soon I shall have the happiness of hearing from you — till when my kindest wishes attend you — adieu —
