Anna Beddoes to Davies Giddy, on or shortly before 21 February 1808
I am extremely anxious about you my dearest friend, & feel for you with whole heart, — I am not fit to advise — but if upon a nearer intimacy you find too great a dissimilarity of character & habits you hazard all the future happiness of your life [1] —— By this time all perhaps is decided – still write to me, & tell me every thing that interests you — I can say no more than how very sincerely I am
Your friend
