Thomas Beddoes to an Unknown Correspondent, between 10 and 17 December 1808
The week preceding his dissolution, he addressed a letter to the chairman of a meeting convened to take into consideration the propriety of erecting a building for literary and philosophical purposes; in which he expressed the highest satisfaction at the prospect of an Institution being about to be founded in Bristol, upon so liberal a scale; and promised his hearty co-operation as far as his means would allow.
