Thomas Beddoes to T. G. Estcourt, 18 October 1808

My dear Sir

I almost hoped to be favored with a line about yr own health – & perhaps I shall today I inclose the receipt in another cover –

I admire your father’s spirit & feel individually obliged at the same time – No delay on my part shall take place in producing this tract

Mr R. P. Knight, Mr T. A. Knight’s brother, is projecting a grand & truly antique edition of Homer – mastering the digamma – If you know any one particularly interested in this, I shd soon be able to shew them a Latin dissertation of Mr Kn. explaining his plan

I think you must know Sir R. C. Hoare’s address – I want to borrow 3 or 4 books of which he speaks in his tour, where I hope to find something about the Irish poor – So I inclose in another cover a note to him –

I remain with compts to Mrs Estcourt your much obliged sert

Thomas Beddoes
