Thomas Beddoes to Davies Giddy, 9 October 1807

Dear Giddy

I wish you and your sister wd take the trouble of putting down the circumstances relative to that accident with the penknife, when your sister so inaccountably fainted – the feelings – time between the wound & the syncope – An instance in some of its features similar has occurred at the Greenich prison – only the person to the great astonishment of all, died but not immediately & as was proved by examination after <ye> death, without any wound appearing in the least degree alarming – I am curious to compare the circumstances – Remember me to yr friends I am

Yours always

Thomas Beddoes
