Thomas Beddoes to Davies Giddy, [?early February 1806 or 1807]

Tuesday

Dear Giddy

I hope you will have received the instrument which I got executed on Saturday – I shall send Dr Garthshores books off tomorrow sealed & directed to you – If too late for the coach that day, you will get them on Thursday – I want to borrow 25 vols more which will just bring me up to my own abstract – Will you, if you have not time to call on him, write a note in my name, saying I am very sensible of the obligations & am sorry that I have no prospect of returning it – & am unwilling to give further trouble – but that it wd be a great additional favour xxxx if he wd share me 25 vols more, as these come to a period from which I have ample abstracts – My reason for declining the duplicates I gave before – I remain Dear Giddy

yrs very truly

Thomas Beddoes
