Thomas Beddoes to James Watt, 2 June 1804

Dear Sir

I had intended to ask you to look at a sociable body at Mr Stones’ Coachmaker Bath as I suppose you a judge of those commodities – However if that is worth buying, I must buy a carriage too – An open carriage will perhaps do my wife some good –

I shd be also thankful if yr servant wd enquire for Mr Courtenay – George Courtenay Esq – & if he can find him, tell him I may possibly be in Bath on Thursday & that pretty early –

I will send you or Mr Creaser a pleasant tonic which I will have made under my own eye – Mr Gregory may take it with in place of his myrrh & steel now & then if he likes it –

I beg my compts to Mrs Watt & fam & am
Dr Sir
Yrs truly

Thomas Beddoes
