Thomas Beddoes to Anna Beddoes, 25 September [1803]

My dear Anna

You scold very pleasantly – And I do not say you are wrong in not borrowing – but I do not say you are wrong in not borrowing (I am stupid in writing for the printer) But I stick to my point & will borrow & will honestly repay.

Boy well – there is a contagious inflammation of the eye very common in Bristol – Nurse’s child has it – I hope yours wont – Emmeline better these two days – I suppose this is my last – I am yr tired
