Thomas Beddoes to Anne Lambton, 27 March [1801]

In looking over the abstract of Js and B’s accounts, it strikes me that there ought to be an alteration in some articles in the paper, given into your Ladyship’s hands. For example, the drawing-master’s writing master’s &c bills are placed so as if J and B were to pay equally – Now the drawing-master came to J first & B wd not have had him but for his coming to J whence I think it clear that J should pay 2/3 of his bill, which is [xxxx] a little above £100 – So also for the writing master & perhaps the Latin & French master If you & Mr R & Mr W agree with me, it is only necessary to recopy your paper – – & place the masters’ bills, properly divided, on distinct papers –

Mr R will inform you of some correspondence that passed between us. The importance of the subject induced him to favour me with a long letter – I hope he will come hither ere long
