Thomas Beddoes to Josiah Wedgwood, 24 March [1800]
Dear Wedgwood,
I suppose we can go on six months in credit – & I am fully satisfied now I have a fixed term. Tom when he last mentioned the subject did really name tomorrow as the period of his return to my assistance & I am not yet out of debt
I should greatly prefer digitalis if she needs more medicine. Digitalis is quite a certain remedy for an old cold & cough – & you may perfectly manage it – give her from 1 to 8 drops thrice a day of the saturated tincture.
Pray if you find Hartley which I am sure passed through <into> JW’s hands return it & I will follow your directions as to the MS.
I hope your colds are all better & if not, that you will take digitalis.
T.B.
