Dear Sir

I acknowledge the receipt of thirty six pounds fifteen shillings from Messr Boulton & Watt –

I must again express my thanks to you for the very liberal manner in which you have afforded the pneumatic scheme your assistance – I hope you will have the satisfaction of having contributed to the indisputable good of mankind

I beg my compts to your father & to Mr Knott whom I saw at Bristol – & am Sir
