Thomas Beddoes to James Watt, 13 February [1799]

Dear Sir

I am glad you have been delivered, & so delivered, from the vexation of your law-suit – I send 5 parcels of sheets which with the 5 formerly sent will make 5 compleat copies of the work – I beg you to give one to Dr Carmichael, to send one of the inclosed packets to Jn Addington Surgeon West Bromwich – & an entire copy to Mr Wilmer Surgeon Coventry with my lecture as enclosed – & one entire copy to Mr Eustace Kidderminster – I beg your pardon for this trouble – but I have no copies myself for these gentlemen – & perhaps Gregory will take the trouble off your hands – As he has received the parcel sent by Davy, you are apprized of our chemical heresies – I should like to hear your objections to Davy’s evidence –

The pneumatic hospital will soon be ready for patients but we find it difficult to get in our subscriptions – I do not mean this as a reproach to you –

I am Dr Sir
With compts to all your family
Yrs

Thomas Beddoes
