Thomas Beddoes to Thomas Pearson, 18 February 1795

Dr Beddoes presents his compts to Mr Pearson & begs leave to thank him for the trouble he has taken in forwarding the business of the Pneumatic Institution, which he thinks will succeed unless public disasters shall jumble & confound all things – The scheme has at least more respectable sanction than [xxxx] any other of a nature at all similar cd boast, if ever a similar scheme was proposed –

Dr Beddoes had Mr Watt’s authority to request Mr Pearson to send him the plate engraved for Mr Watt’s pamphlet. Dr B would have requested Mr P. to strike off 500 copies: But the new edition of his pamphlet belongs to J. Johnson & perhaps the plates had better all be taken off on uniform paper –

Mrs Beddoes will pass from Litchfield to Bristol in 4 or 5 days; & if Mr P. will give orders concerning the plate, she will call for it –
