Dear George

I dined at Mr Hoods on Sunday and find my affairs stand nearly as follows

 £
Total cost of 3 first editions481 odd shillings
When all sold will produce joint profit613 odd shillings
Out of Hood's half of the profits
he proposes to give me for these
three Editions,50, 0
and another50, 0

for the next three, this hundred pounds is more than I had expected. I am to draw on him for my wants at Bury. You may inform Mr Smy that I should be glad to live at Bury, and if the situation and conditions could be still further explaind to me I should know how to proceed as to bringing my furniture, what part of it may be required and what not, are there stoves or ranges fix'd? & c &c.

I have I believe more in family than Mr Smy. What room should I have to stow them in?

Your Brother Robert
