350. Robert Baldwin to Robert Bloomfield, 5 April 1821 *
Dear Sir
Annexed you will find the particulars of the late printing accounts of your three separate volumes, and new edition of the Collected Works in two volumes; and on the following leaf a statement of your general account. This you will find very favourable and holding out a good prospect of future relief. The balance at present due to you is more than absorbed by your share
of printing the new edition of the works, but as these new editions go off you will see that they will afford considerable resources. We hope to get the press and designs for the new volume done to your satisfaction. They will not be entrusted to Greig but to a person who we trust is fully competent. We cannot go to press of course until these are ready. In the meantime, if you propose to adopt any of the suggestions offered by me in the copy first put in my hands, you must either return that copy, or say what they are—
I remain dear Sir, very sincerely yours
Robert Baldwin
