30. Robert Bloomfield to Elizabeth
Glover, May 1800*
May 1800
Dear Mother
I am safe in London, and have had several bitts of good fortune;
I yesterday had a present of a guinea from a gentleman, a Mr Vaughn, who had read my book,
and had desir'd the publisher to send me to his house, I write now to Mr Lofft, and Mr Gedge.
My Master, Mr Davies, have paid me the half-guinea for the coppy which I lent
them to read. Natts master mr
Jackson have borrow'd a coppy of Natt, and have sent the money.
Remember me kindly to my
Father,
Your affectionate Son
Robert Bloomfield
