Dear Sir,

Nothing prevented my replying to your first but my own neglect, coupled in some degree with a sort of conviction, certainly without sufficient grounds, that it needed not a an immediate reply, for which I beg you will pardon me this once.

If sending to my care your book of sketches will save you the trouble of copying, I will return it safe and be greatly oblidged to you.—

If you send a packet by Coach will you be so good as to apprise me of its starting and how I may come at it? I am tired of complaining as to health, and therefore with true respects to Self and Family
