Letter 22 - The Letters of Robert Bloomfield

22. Robert Bloomfield to Elizabeth Glover, 5 March 1800*

London. March 5th 1800

My dear Mother,

Through the unexampled goodness of Mr. Lofft, I am now able to send you this Coppy of my poem. There are three sizes, this is the middle one, I have a coppy considerably larger. I will not fail to tell you further of all that is in agitation, as soon as I have Leisure, but I am rather pressed for time. You will see underneath a coppy of a letter I now send to Mr. Lofft; [1]  The Duke gave me 5 guineas screwed up in a little bit of paper, and askd a thousand questions; but I cannot say more now; my love to Isaac, Father, and all friends.

Your dutiful and fortunate son,

Robert Bloomfield

[...]

P.S. Dear Mother

In Mr Walker's letter I found two bills of his exhibition, one of which I have enclosed.
