Letter 211 - The Letters of Robert Bloomfield

211. Robert Bloomfield to Mary Lloyd Baker, 8 August 1807*

City Road, Saturday Afternoon

Dear Madam

I must be a day later than I intended, for the Stroud Water Coach goes on Sunday and Tuesday, and not on Monday. I therefore choose Tuesday, and think it advisable to acquaint you with the fresh determination. We have here allmost for the first time this summer, some fine showers, and all my families of cabbages and French Beans are rejoicing in it.—

I shall not be able I find to bring with me Mrs Grant's poems. At Longman & Rees, they tell me there are no copies in town, but they expect them soon. I have not been able to borrow it.

All well

Yours Madam truly

R Bloomfield
